As we all know, without a topic we can’t research it. So, I suggest you choose a proper topic for your blog and If you are finding it difficult to get an interesting topic by yourself, you should look for a topic around your niche.
You can search in the google trends of topics that are trending and pick out the most suitable and interesting one to write your next blog.
Google trends give you a brief idea about the search volume on the recent trends and the scope of that trend to be in trend. You can research current events and recent stories done on the topic to have good knowledge of it.
Once you find a topic that you can write about, Now your next job is to research it to gain ideas about writing as a blog.
Before moving directly to start writing the article, you should research well on the topic. There will be many blogs already written addressing the same topic. You can go through them to get a perspective on what they have written and what not?
You can get a broader view of the topic and make points that you want to write in your blog. This process will help you to cover each and every bit of the topic.
Deep research and insights are always an X factor for your readers and give them complete information on a single blog. You should also present numerical data if available to support your blogs and highlight the source.
The research is also done to know your competitors if you are a product reviewer and your niche is around the products. The level of content provided by your competitor and try to level up in your blog.
2. Select the title using keyword research
Now, I assume that you have an abundance of knowledge about the topic and your job is to give a name to it. The title of any blog plays a vital role in directly attracting new users through search engines.
You must give a title that correctly represents the topic that you are going to write on your blog. Sometimes, I see some blogs with completely different titles that do not match the content they are providing.
This kind of misleading title will affect your website SEO in long term. So, I would suggest you give time to title selection and boost your SEO in a positive way.
If you find it difficult to select a good title you can use free keyword research tools such as Ubersuggest, and Google keyword planner. These keyword research tools give you a complete idea about the search volume and competition.
For a successful keyword that ranks you need to choose which has low competition and good search volume. If you need deep keyword research you can get tools like SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
I usually do title research using google keyword planner. It gives an idea about what are keywords with their search volume and competitiveness. Below, I am attaching a screenshot of it.
Here, I have searched for the keyword ” How to write a post ” and the google keyword planner listed all the keywords around it and their search volume with competition for each keyword.
Out of this, I have the keyword with high volume but less competitive and i.e ” How to write a blog post “. This thing you need to keep in mind and use these tricks to rank higher with no extra effort and avoid any kind of paid search clicks.
3. Write subheadings on the topic
After selecting the title your next job is to list all the subheadings that you will cover in that particular blog. By doing that you will have a clear picture of what you have to write.
